ABC is committed to educating our members on safety in the workplace. Having efficient safety programs and training in the workplace will lessen injuries, illness and assist in lowering workers' compensation rates.
ABC strives to promote safety in the workplace by establishing programs that aid in keeping the workplace safe from injuries and accidents.
The Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP), program was created to provide members with a strong, structured approach to further develop safety programs. STEP also provides measurable results to evaluate company programs. The STEP program is easy to use and has 20 key safety components. STEP is a great marketing tool for your firm.

2010 STEP Instructions & FAQ's
is an initiative with OSHA to provide specialized programs to participants. To become eligible for the partnership your company is required to be a participant in the STEP (see above) program. This partnership provides; special recognition by ABC and OSHA, special safety mentoring program, reductions in citations relative to STEP achievement and more.
Safety training includes a varying array of safety compliance courses conducted by authorized industry professionals. - Tool Box Talks: ABC has Tool Box Talks for Construction Worksites available. Each kit includes 69 safety talks in English and Spanish on one CD ROM!
- Jobsite Start-up Kits: This package includes all of the required worksite postings from various government agencies.
- On-site Safety Services: ABC provides worksite audits, program evaluations and safety training.
- Marcom Videos and compliance manuals: These videos, CD’s and compliance manuals are designed specifically to meet members compliance requirements.
- Orientation Videos: The ABC has many different orientation videos for safety, management and trade related topics.
- OSHA CFR 1926: OSHA compliance manuals are available from the chapter office at low member rates.
