The cooperative ABC/OSHA effort provides benefits to participating companies who voluntarily improve their safety and health performance while demonstrating the implementation of an effective safety and health program. Benefits include: Special Recognition from OSHA, Priorities in Compliance Assistance Activities, and Inspection Incentives such as focused inspections and applicable penalty reduction factors.

safety training & evaluation Process Program (step)

Established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee, the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors and is FREE to Participate in.

Benefits include an organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs; a valid, objective method for measuring safety program improvement; and a safety performance recognition useful in business development.

The Accredited Quality Contractor Program is an accreditation program which publicly recognizes and honors construction firms which have documented their commitment to excellence in 4 key areas of corporate responsibility: Safety (STEP Gold or Platinum required), Employee Benefits, Training, and Community Relations.
