Construction Financial Management Academy

Construction Financial Management Academy is an accounting class for non-accountants. This two-day class is perfect for book keepers, owners and superintendents looking to expand their knowledge of financial management.                                                                    

Day 1: Job Costing, Financial Reporting, Financial Management for the Non-Financial Manager, Reconciling Project and Financial Management, Job Costs Systems and their Components, and Allocating Costs to Jobs.                                                                                          

Day 2: Cash Management, Monthly Billing Cycles, Surety/Banking, Capacity to Pursue Work, and the Users of a Job Cost System as well as Computerized Accounting Systems.

Instructor: David LaRosa (CBIZ MHM LLC)
Instructor Bio:  With 20 years of experience in public accounting, including 17 in construction accounting, David LaRosa is a licensed CPA with extensive experience managing accounting and audit engagements for real estate developers, construction contractors, manufacturing companies, and employee benefit plans.  Along with his audit experience, David worked as an outsourced controller for a ten million dollar construction company performing all duties such as human resources; payroll; billing; payables and cash management.
