2020 is off to an action-packed start for ABC Eastern Pennsylvania!
In case you have not been involved with the chapter over the past few years, much has changed for the association in Lehigh area. We are excited for the expansion of our Lehigh Valley facility which will increase our ability to offer the best in Management Education, Craft and Apprenticeship Training classes. We thank ABC Member Spillman Farmer for their assistance!
ABC Eastern Pennsylvania now has a growing base of owners and developer members to help bring more opportunities directly to our general construction and construction management members. We announced at our January 23, 2020 Business Development Committee meeting, that the chapter will be forming an Owners Committee to aid in that effort. We welcome GC/CM members to that committee on a first come, first serve basis (limit of 3 GC/CM members, at this time). Please email Joe Perpiglia if you have interest in joining this group. We will also look for members of the Roundtable to present to the Business Development Committee in 2020 and beyond. Our Business Development Committee now rotates to our offices and is also hosted occasionally by our members.
Our chapter team has grown to serve Northeast Pennsylvania and Philadelphia, while increasing our membership base in Lehigh Valley and Suburban Philadelphia. By 2021, we will have facilities in all four key areas of the territory.
Our Workforce Development Committee is pacing ahead of their goal of recruiting 50 area schools (by 12/31/2023) into our Construction Alliance, to bring top notch field and management personnel to your companies. We currently have 30 schools actively participating with ABC Eastern Pennsylvania. No longer do you need to rely on LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. to find talent. Contact any Eastern PA chapter office or team member to get involved in our Construction Alliance.
Finally, we look forward to continuing our mission of promoting free enterprise and aid in building the best projects in The Valley, Northeast PA, Suburban Philadelphia and Philadelphia, regardless of labor affiliation.
